ECU– WICF Advocacy Training Registration
After filling out the following form, you will receive a confirmation email with which date you have been chosen for and you will be contacted at least 2 weeks before with information regarding logistics and background checks for online Advocacy training.
Please be aware of our eligibility requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a demonstrated interest in chess and a willingness to promote and advocate for women's participation and success in the game
Must be able to commit to the time requirement needed to fulfil their role as advocates, such as attending chess tournaments if asked, communicating with victims, providing resources and support when contacted.
If attendance to the course is completed, you will automatically receive an ECU-WICF Certificate of Completion.
If you would additionally like to be listed as an official Women In Chess Foundation Advocate, you will have to provide our organisation a criminal background check. This is not a formal requirement. More information on this will be provided during the seminar.
If your club or federation would like to organise a larger, in-person advocacy training session.
